Coaching style and philosophy: Nicole’s style of coaching would best be described as educational with a focus on skills “let’s do it correctly.” Character, fun, words of affirmation, and giving one-hundred percent are essential. Nicole believes that every child should have the opportunity to play a sport and excel at his or her own level by giving their, personal best. “I believe that participating in sports, builds much more into the lives of athletes, than just skills and a competitive desire to win. It has long, lasting effects, such as the ability to persevere and do your best, even when you do not receive a medal or a pat on the back. Participating in sports can help give athletes the ability to endure suffering and hardship later on in life, while rising to greater heights…now, that’s winning!”
On a more personal note: Nicole is a sports enthusiast and would rather spend a night at a sporting event, than going shopping. In addition to sports she also enjoys writing, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Some of Nicole’s fondest memories are of playing football with her brothers in the street in front of her home. As crazy as Nicole is about sports, her number one passion will always be to make a difference in the lives of children. Most nights you will find Nicole dreaming about the homeless children that have come into her life through sports, and she can’t help but drift off into sleep with those precious, little souls on her heart and mind. Nicole gives all the glory and honor for her current position and for her accomplishments to the One who makes all things possible.
